If talking about the huge amount of information nowadays presenting, yes, it's kind of information society. But is contrasting with agriculture society and industry society, it may not be information society yet.
From agriculture society to industry society, the machine replace the cows in the farm and thus the people move into the factories. At present, the airplanes contribute more than the computers to move people around the world. But either of the two doesn't force tremendous movement of people from city to country, or from offices to the ocean.
Maybe in the future, the information-based computer will replace part of the human being and till then, the information society comes. It will be astonishing and scaring as showed in the movies.
Therefore, I may change my question to be like whether the computer can replace the administrators or the teachers in the school. hehe. If so, I will not worry about hiring people to work in my school any more. It's really the most difficult part for a school and maybe for the whole education. ...kinds of off topic :)
